Abstract:The existing jetting systems of self-elevating platforms frequently suffer from pipeline blockages due to harsh working environments, which significantly compromises their flushing effectiveness. To ensure long-term availability of jetting systems and maintain platform flushing performance, this study conducted comprehensive research on various existing jetting systems. Through analysis of their structural characteristics and investigation into the causes of blockages and failures, a novel anti-clogging jetting system has been developed. The innovative system employs check valves with reverse-stop functionality featuring distinct structural configurations for the upper and lower surfaces of spudcans, demonstrating advantages of simple structure, high reliability, and exceptional anti-clogging performance. Furthermore, the pipeline layout has been optimized with the addition of maintenance ball valves and couplings, significantly enhancing system maintainability. This improvement substantially increases the reliability of the jetting system while providing new perspectives for related engineering designs and technological developments.
