In recent years, more and more Marine jackets and FPSO have been abandoned and removed, and many jackets of the same type have been removed.It is standard practice to weld the padeye at the splash zone, which has high risk, long period and high cost in construction. The clamp prefabricated on land and offshore installation without welding, can be reused. This article introduced a new clamping apparatus that used to removal the jacket.The structure of clamping apparatus is safe by caculation, this clamping can reduce workload and more economical compared to tradition method. The clamping had applied for patents and will be widely used for dismantling jacket.
