Abstract:In response to the problem of low efficiency in drawing inner and outer groove profile using template drawings for some large diameter steel pipes during the construction process of the jacket, a drawing method that meets the production requirements, is of strong practicality, and is convenient to approximate the inner and outer groove profile is proposed. By analyzing the existing domestic jacket data, it is concluded that these types of steel pipes have a common point that both of them intersect with a plane, with a diameter ≥ 2 m. Through geometric analysis and extensive data comparison, it is found that: when the axis intersection angle is within certain range, the profile with the shortest distance between the 0 ° and 180 ° points on the outer surface of the steel pipe is very close to the theoretical outer groove profile, which can replace the theoretical outer groove profile for production; when the axis intersection angle is within certain range, the approximate inner groove profile drawn with a fixed value is also very close to the theoretical inner groove profile, which can replace the theoretical inner groove profile for production. These two profile drawing methods are very versatile and can greatly improve work efficiency.
