Abstract:A coupled model of offshore floating wind turbines that integrates aerodynamics, hydrodynamics, wind turbine, semi-submersible platform, and mooring systems is established in FAST-AQWA (F2A) and OpenFAST, and simulation is carried out under stable wind conditions and rated turbulent wind conditions. The results show that the simulation results of F2A and OpenFAST are basically consistent, verifying the effectiveness of the F2A module in simulating floating wind turbines. The study will provide reference for the modeling and simulation of offshore floating wind turbines.
