Abstract:In order to explore the feasibility of the integrated wet towing of a new jacket-bucket foundation structure at the bottom of the large offshore electric platform, the finite element software is used to study the effects of draft, wave height and wave period on the foundation stability and dynamic response. The results show that: when the whole foundation is at certain draft and the wave period is near the vertical or longitudinal natural period, the resonance phenomenon may occur; the bucket foundation itself can provide sufficient floating stability for the integrated structure including the jacket; under the conditions of wave height below 2 m and sea condition below level 5, the integrated structure can be used for long-distance wet towing.
