Abstract:A numerical calculation model of Tuned Liquid Damper (TLD) is established, which is solved by OpenFOAM two-phase flow grid method, and the validity of the calculation method is verified based on the experimental data. The relationship of the damping force of TLD with the natural frequency and excitation frequency is analyzed. The coupling solution method of Simapck and OpenFOAM is established. The influence of the number, location and natural frequency of TLD arrangement on the damping effect of the tower is analyzed. The calculation results show that when the natural frequency of TLD is equal to the first order vibration frequency of the tower and it is arranged at the top of the tower, the damping effect of TLD is better.
