Abstract:Regarding the wind load on the superstructure of the ultra-large floating platform under typhoon conditions, three methods of CCS, DNV standards and real-scale Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) calculation are used to carry out the calculations, and the calculation results are compared and analyzed. The calculation results of CFD method and DNV standard method are relatively consistent, the maximum error is 10.19% at wind angles of 135° and 225°, and less than 8% for other wind direction angles. A method is constructed for analyzing the influence of the wind load on the spatial positions of the platform, and the contribution of the horizontal and longitudinal spatial positions of the platform to the wind load and the degree of inter-module shielding effect can be visually seen through cloud images. The research results can provide reference for the platform designers to evaluate wind load more reasonably and provide guidance for further optimizing the configuration of the platform superstructure.
