Focusing on the main line of artificial intelligence (AI) and the construction of smart ocean, the concepts of AI and smart ocean are discussed, the breakthrough points of the current relatively mature integration of AI and ocean technology are listed, especially in the field of ocean observation, and a development path of intelligent marine technology and equipment is preliminarily shown. Some suggestions are put forward to accelerate the construction of AI technology energizing to the smart ocean.
