Abstract:Based on the stability specification of lifting platform and the characteristics of Moses software, a method is proposed to calculate the stability of lifting platform under lifting operation conditions by Moses software. The initial metacentric height, stability criterion numeral, static balance angle and intake angle are checked. This method is convenient and fast, which can be used to calculate the stability of the platform based on the analysis of the intact stability and damaged stability. The calculation results are consistent with the actual stability of the platform. The research results can provide reference for the stability calculation of lifting platform and increase the comprehensiveness of the stability calculation of ship and platform.
