Abstract:By the analytical method, the possibility of the end walking of the subsea pipeline is screened and analyzed, the end walking of the pipeline is evaluated, and the sensitivity of the end walking to the key parameters is analyzed. The applicability of the analytical method is studied. The results show that the analytical method is slightly conservative, the difference between the results of the analytical method and that of the finite element method is less than 10%, and the analytical method can be used for the preliminary evaluation of the end walking behavior of the subsea pipeline in the early stage of the project. With the increase of pipeline length and thermal gradient, the end walking movement increases. With the increase of friction factor, the end walking movement changes in parabola shape. The research results can provide reference for subsea pipeline design.
