In order to make the standardized platform structure adapt to a variety of load distribution, the international project experience is summarized and the basic data of the platforms in service in Bohai Bay are studied comprehensively, and a design method using general pressure loading to replace the uncertain load equivalently is proposed. The general pressure loading of the typical platform is introduced emphatically. The general pressure for the design of wellhead platform structure of Bohai Bay Standardization Project is determined. SACS software is used to verify the applicability of the general pressure loading method for the typical platform. The meaningful results are gained. The proposal of the design method promotes the process of standardized structural design.
