With reference to the structural parameters of NREL 5 MW wind turbine and OC3 Tripod support structure, considering the joint action of wind and wave with the water depth of 45 m, the fully coupled model of OC3 Tripod fixed offshore wind turbine is established to compare the influence of steady wind, turbulent wind and wind system operation conditions corresponding to different wind speeds on the dynamic responses of the wind turbine. The results show that: the turbulence wind model should be used in the strength check process for safety; the state and structure characteristics of the wind turbine in work condition should be studied emphatically, since it will be subjected to larger aerodynamic loads.
