Abstract:With the rapid development of offshore wind power, large offshore converter stations have more and more applications, but with the increase in volume and weight of the converter station and the special restrictions of the precision instruments inside the converter station on the movement of the topside during transportation and installation, the difficulty of offshore installation is also increasing. The traditional lifting method cannot meet the installation requirements, and floatover method suitable for large-volume, large-ton topside installation is relatively reliable but also needs more consideration. Use OrcaFlex to carry out coupled hydrodynamic analysis of the transportation and the key stages of floatover installation of SanXia RuDong offshore converter station, which provides a certain reference for the actual transportation and floatover installation operation of the converter station and reduces the risk of the process further. Through the real ship monitoring system, the inclination angle and acceleration of the converter station during transportation, the sea environmental conditions and the movement of the barge and the converter station during the floatover installation are monitored in an all-round and whole process. The measured results are compared with the numerical simulation results, and the two are well compared, which further verifies the reliability of the numerical calculation.
