In order to improve the safety of offshore facilities, the jacket damage by ship collision and residual strength are studied. The materials, dimensions and collisions involved in the process of ship collision with the jacket are comprehensively considered. The finite element software Abaqus is used to simulate the process of ship collision with the jacket under various conditions. The change of the residual strength of the jacket under different initial speeds of ships is further discussed. The difference in residual strength between different parts of the jacket is analyzed. The relationship between the maximum impact force and each impact factor is demonstrated and the residual strength evaluation after the impact of the jacket is realized.
